Ecology

Since 1989 ZACHEM has consequently pursued an eco-restructuring program. As the first chemical company in Poland, in 1994 it joined the international "Responsible Care" program. Since March 2001, all sewage from the company go to the biological treatment plant, whose construction was co-financed by Zachem and the Municipality of Bydgoszcz.

Systematically, as part of development investments, the company enhances the safety of production from the standpoint of environmental protection. It also uses European Union aid to implement environmental projects. Since 1994 ZACHEM has issued annual Environmental Reports, which are available on its website.
